During the activities related to the social media intelligence project we were implementing for Widiba, we were appointed by the Monte dei Paschi di Siena to train its internal personnel on web and social listening. The objective of the client was to improve thanks to the understanding of on-line user conversations.

Context

Renewing a Centuries-old Bank through Digital Tools

Having understood the opportunities provided by social media intelligence to the newly-created digital bank of the Group (Widiba), the MPS Communications and Marketing Area decided to invest in training its internal personnel.

The objective of top management was to employ new monitoring channels for its reputation and activate contact and engagement tools to reach its current and new potential clients.

Social Media Intelligence, Analysis of Competitors and Launch Campaign

2013/2014 – Training through a cycle of six educational modules and lessons on how to analyse and manage social media intelligence activities from strategy development to qualitative-quantitative analysis of the reports; setting up the platform and remote assistance.

Social Media Intelligence as a Strategic Communications Tool

Our training sessions provided the internal personnel with new competences for listening to and evaluating the opinions of on-line users, as well as performing competitor analyses, identifying influencers, implementing digital strategies to manage MPS on-line reputation and creating loyal customers and attracting prospects interested in the banking services.
