Mauro Palmieri
Graphic Designer
“Lu sule, lu mare, lu ientu”. Hailing from the sun-drenched shores of Salento, Mauro brings a touch of Mediterranean magic to Cultur-e’s graphic design team. With Photoshop as his canvas, he transforms his homeland’s subtle nuances and geometric patterns into visual masterpieces.
Don’t let his three-year graphics degree from Lecce fool you—Mauro’s style defies easy categorisation. While his roots may be steeped in baroque traditions, his aesthetic leans towards minimalism with a refined edge. His time at Rome’s Academy of Fine Arts honed this unique perspective, teaching him that with the right touch, even a supplì can become a pasticciotto. Mauro’s mastery of shapes, colours, and palettes is unparalleled. He’ll dive into a Google frenzy if ever stumped (a rarity), only to emerge vindicated in his original instincts. “Do I ever make mistakes?” he’ll quip with a wry smile. His irony may be subtle, but his reliability is rock-solid. Need a font that’s “understated yet impactful” and “could be a tad larger”? Mauro’s your man. Just don’t ask him to DJ – his Spotify playlists are legendary for all the wrong reasons. But don’t dare mention it, lest you face his playful retort: “Come on, when have I ever been wrong?”
In web design, Mauro lives by the “mobile first” mantra. Yet in life, he embraces the art of slow living. He saves his speed for meeting deadlines, which he never misses. Otherwise, you’ll find him savouring a Sunday morning coffee by the sea.
As the great Sorrentino might advise, “Stay grounded.” Mauro would simply nod and reply, “I know where I come from.”
